Excavation, Fill and Grading
Excavation to design levels, controlled layer placement using suitable fill and site grading.
- Topographic setting-out
- Layer and moisture control
- Tracking compaction tests
Services
For excavation, fill, site grading, drainage, stormwater networks and service roads, we manage levels, compaction and construction sequence together.
Our Approach
Pavement built without considering site levels, ground behaviour, water management and heavy-vehicle movement can require premature maintenance.
For that reason, setting-out, layer-controlled fill, compaction checks, pipe bedding and surface falls are managed within the same field control plan.
Service Scope
The final scope is confirmed against the project documents and site review, then aligned with the work programme.
Excavation to design levels, controlled layer placement using suitable fill and site grading.
Installation of pipe falls, bedding, manholes and discharge points to suit the field conditions.
Sub-base and surface preparation for service roads, working platforms and vehicle turning areas.
Technical Management
Infrastructure includes details that become difficult to access after backfilling. Levels, gradients and connections are therefore checked before the work is concealed.
Primary axes, pipe routes, manhole centres and design levels are transferred to the field.
Unsuitable layers are removed and fill material is placed in controlled thicknesses.
Bedding, pipe gradients, connections and protective backfill are completed in sequence.
Drainage direction, edge finishing and tie-in levels are verified on platforms and road surfaces.

Share the location, existing conditions, target date and priority scope so we can complete the initial technical assessment together.
